Siri now talks smack to Google Glass

Siri’s database of snarky comments has been refreshed with barbs targeting Google Glass, ABC reported on Monday.When you “slam” Siri by referring to it as Glass, saying “OK, Glass,” the phrase used to “wake up” Google Glass devices, Siri responds with one of a series of snarky responses, including:Google Glass, for now, doesn’t talk smack back. However, in a “statement” to ABC News, “Google Glass” said:Siri, it’s not you, it’s me. You see, I just met Google Voice Search and fell hard for her. She doesn’t just listen; she understands me.None other than Apple CEO Tim Cook has expressed skepticism about Google Glass, the smartglasses that are currently in test.In June, during an interview at the All Things D conference, Cook saidIt’s probably more likely to appeal to certain vertical markets. The likelihood that it has a broad range appeal is tough to see.It’s hard to believe that Apple really believes that, however, if the rumors of its own moves into the wearable computing market are to be believed. Apple is said to be working on a smartwatch dubbed — thus far — the iWatch.However, so are Microsoft, Samsung, and even Google.Siri, it’s not you, it’s me.
